Kisspeptin‑10 (KP‑10) is a short peptide (10 amino acids) derived from the larger kisspeptin proteins encoded by the KISS1 gene. It is a neuropeptide hormone, acts primarily through the GPR54 receptor , which is present in the hypothalamus and other tissues. KP‑10 is considered the minimal active fragment of kisspeptin with fullintrinsic bioactivity the smallest piece of kisspeptin that still activates its pathways.
